WINONA, Minnesota – The Winona State University football team will participate in the second consecutive home NSIC weekend of its 2022 schedule, hosting Concordia, St. Paul on Friday, September 30 and Minnesota State, Mankato on Sunday. October 2.
The Warriors and Golden Bears kick off at 5 p.m. Friday, while Sunday’s game against MSU – Mankato begins at 1 p.m.
Winona State heads into NSIC weekend after a two-game draw weekend last week, earning points in a 1-1 tie with Minot State on Friday, Sept. 23 and battling to a 0-0 stalemate against UMary on Sunday, September 25.
On Friday, the Warriors will look to reverse a streak of tough results against CSP in recent years as the Golden Bears have won the last four matchups. Sunday’s contest will give WSU the chance to snap a ten-game 0-9-1 run against the Mavericks that dates back to 2014. Winona State last beat Minnesota State Mankato on November 3, 2013, a 1-0 Warrior wins.
