Picking a favorite part of Hannah Waddingham’s 2022 Emmys look is nearly impossible – the Ted Lasso the star shone from head to toe. (She was literally wearing glittery shoes.) But, if we had to choose, we’d agree with her makeup artist Stephen Sollitto’s stance that her skin stole the show. And that’s partly thanks to Charlotte Tilbury’s Beautiful Skin Radiant Concealer.
Sollitto used all Charlotte Tilbury products on Waddingham for the special night, according to a press release, and he took to Instagram to sing the concealer’s praises. “Loved it,” he captioned a photo of the gold-capped tubes. “Medium [sic] build, not chalky but stayed too. PERFECT shades. It moisturizes, reduces dark circles with continued use. He also called it a “game changer”.
Sharing a close-up of Waddingham’s makeup, he wrote: “Yes I put lotion on her skin but it’s HER skin!!! ❤️”
A new formula for the brand, the Beautiful Skin Concealer comes in 30 shades and is described as a “creamy, skin-like, medium-to-full coverage” that lasts up to 16 hours of use, according to the site. Sephora. It also contains hyaluronic acid to hydrate the skin (which is especially effective for the easily creased under-eye area), niacinamide to smooth, and golden vitamin C to visibly brighten the complexion. Gotta love a makeup-skincare hybrid!
And even though it’s fresh on the market, it’s already garnered rave reviews. “Love love this product! It’s thick and creamy yet blends well, lasts all day and doesn’t create creases under the eyes! wrote a Sephora shopper. “Zero creases and amazing coverage “, said another. “Excellent concealer. It covers all my baseless imperfections,” another wrote.
In addition to concealer, Sollitto also used Beautiful Skin Foundation, Airbrush Flawless Finish Powder and Luxury Eye Palette in Vintage Vamp on Waddingham, which perfectly complemented her Dolce and Gabbana princess blush ballgown. She was up for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy (a category that Sheryl Lee Ralph eventually won), but her makeup deserved its own prize. Shop her red carpet-worthy beauty routine below.
