As an Emmy Award-winning actress, dancer, singer, and entrepreneur, Julianne Hough, 33, puts her body – and her skin – to the test. So it makes sense that the products she uses every day are important to her. We caught up with the multi-hyphenated entertainer to talk about her summer skincare routine, making her Broadway debut in the play POTUSupcoming plans and whether she envisions a Broadway musical in her future.
When it comes to her morning and evening skincare routines, Hough tells women’s day“I started using another face product called Oak Essentials, and I use all of their balms because I care about my skin. With all the makeup I wear, it’s important to me to have a clean and smooth skin.”
“For my body, it’s all about how I take care of it. And BIC Soleil Escape is my way of regenerating my skin and my body in a luxurious and relaxing way, while preparing myself for the next day – especially going in my Broadway shows and constantly doing body makeup. It makes me feel like a whole new woman every time I focus on my skin, whether it’s with shaving, or my skincare, or with my face – it all makes me feel good,” continues Hough, who recently partnered with BIC for their Sun Escape “Tickle Your Senses” campaign.
As for his experience in POTUSworking with a cast of women she calls “so amazing,” Hough says “being part of the community is the best part of being on Broadway. It’s really a sense of community where you’re not going to do just this project and never to see these people again It’s a deep rooted community and it’s very special as far as personal experience goes From an artistic background I work with Susan Stroman who is a legend and five times Tony Award winner, as well as Selina Fillinger who is our young playwright. And all the cast is female, mostly our producers and our creative team as well, so I’ve never experienced a project with so many female leads and it’s been a such joy.
Hough admits that many people, including herself, assumed her Broadway debut would have been in a musical. “But I think this subject matter, the concept and the context of what this piece represents reflects where I am in my life, that I wanted to be a part of it. I see a future though for musicals and again, it’s not about checking off the to-do list and then calming down. I want to be part of this community as long as they have me. »
So what’s next for Hough’s career after POTUS shut down in August? Along with having “a few film and TV projects in the works,” she says she continues to grow her wine company with actress Nina Dobrev, Fresh Vine Wine, as well as her wellness company, KINRGY. . “There are a lot of fun things to come in the next six months to a year.”
“From a life perspective, I’m so excited about this phase of living in New York and feeling the energy and being connected to the world. LA is like the world of entertainment but New York is like the whole world – it’s fashion is beauty, it’s drama, it’s feel good, it’s whatever you want it to be.You have it all here and you are constantly being introduced to new ideas, new people and new concepts,” she says. “I feel like I’m in a very curious stage of life right now.”
